Bandaranayake college proudly announces its great achievement accomplished at the National Productivity Awards 2012/2013. It is notable that the college contested for the National Productivity Awards for the first time in the school history and secured The Third Place under the guidance and leadership of the present principal Mr. Lal Dissanayake who took the initiative energetically to spark the hidden talents of the whole school community to sweat for this collective goal.

About School

Bandaranayake College is considered to be the leading Public School in Gampaha. It is a National School, meaning that it is controlled by the central government as opposed to the Provincial Council and provides only the secondary education.

On 18th September 1918, this school was established as “Henarathgoda Seewali Buddhist School” at the place where GM/Yashodara Devi Balika Vidyalaya is situated at present.
